CLB Partners co-developed the historic St. Germain Lofts renovation in downtown Houston with the Randall Davis Company. Opened for leasing in 1999, the St. Germain Lofts created a unique urban lifestyle so successfully that the building was converted to for-sale condominiums in 2005. Formerly the S. H. Kress Five and Dime Department Store Building, the loft rehabilitation project transformed an Italian Renaissance structure built in 1913 into 109 lofts for use as contemporary living spaces near the urban hustle and bustle. The floor plans range from 550 square foot one-room lofts to 2,200 square foot three-bedroom two-bath lofts. Retail occupies the main floor of the eight-story building.
Only four blocks from the baseball stadium and two blocks from the theatre district on Main Street, the St. Germain Lofts offer young professionals and "empty nesters" close proximity to work and the citys Theater District, offering some of the nations premier entertainment. A convenient tunnel access allows entrance to the employment centers of downtown Houston. St. Germain Lofts is within walking distance of many large office complexes including Pennzoil Plaza and Chase Tower.
